Iranian documentary reveals untold causes of Syrian crisis

A new Iranian documentary has been made about the crisis in Syria which erupted about 10 years ago, revealing untold causes of the war in the Arab country.

Iranian documentary titled ‘Why Syria?’, directed by Vahid Farahani, addresses the role of some countries in igniting the crisis in Syria.

In the film, various people have appeared talking about the war from different aspects, and the reasons behind the eruption of the crisis in the Arab country which were not covered by the mainstream media.

The documentary is produced by Owj Arts and Media Organization, and is expected to premiere at the 14th edition of the "Cinema Verite", Iran's International Documentary Film Festival.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011.

The Damascus government says the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies are supporting the Takfiri terrorist groups that are wreaking havoc in the country.
